Warriors vs. Thunder Prediction

Kevin Durant will make another return to OKC on Saturday night when the Warriors visit the Thunder at 8:30 p.m. ET. That said, Durant is unlikely to play. Even though both of these teams have the firepower to light up the scoreboard, is the best bet the under?

Golden State Warriors Fantasy Spin

Predictions

Coach Steve Kerr said 'it's doubtful'Kevin Durant (ankle) plays in Oklahoma City on Saturday. He did practice on Friday and is still listed as questionable. He missed a big national TV game on Wednesday and is likely to miss another one here. This is a quote from Kerr on the radio, so this isn't an official listing for KD. We should get another update on Saturday morning.

Oklahoma City Thunder Fantasy Spin

Paul George had a great night in Indiana on Thursday, scoring 36 points (10-of-23 FGs, 10-of-12 FTs) with six rebounds, five assists, two steals, six 3-pointers and five turnovers in 36 minutes. PG13 had his great night spoiled by a late collapse against his former team, seeing the Pacers win with a late put-back by Wesley Matthews. He's battling through some injuries, like most players at this point in the season, but he continues to post top-5 overall value. The Thunder have a 3-4-3 schedule over the next three weeks, giving PG13 plenty more time to help his fantasy owners.

NBA Betting Trends

Golden State

Golden State failed to cover in 11 of its previous 14 games overall and in five of its last seven road games.

Oklahoma City

The Thunder has failed to cover the spread in four of its last five home games and in 10 of its last 13 games overall.

Prediction

Okc

It’s tempting to take the Warriors laying only one point when they throttled Houston as a 3.5-point underdog earlier this week. That said, the Thunder held the Warriors to 108 points in the first meeting between these two teams in Oakland on October 16 and to only 95 points in the November meeting in OKC. This isn’t a new trend, either. The Warriors averaged just under 105 points in five meetings with the Thunder last year, too. Golden State has held Oklahoma City’s offense in check as well, with the Thunder only averaging 107 points in the past six meetings between these two teams. The under is 5-1 in the last six meetings between these two teams in Oklahoma City and is 17-5 in the past 22 meetings overall.

Thunder at Cavaliers: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Thunder 103, Cavaliers 96

Money line (ML)

The THUNDER (-140) are coming off a 98-85 loss at Milwaukee on Friday, their lowest scoring total since just 80 points on New Year’s Eve against the New Orleans Pelicans in OKC.

Still, Oklahoma City is a good play on the money line against Cleveland, a team that is on a nine-game losing streak after showing some signs of life earlier in the season.

Against the spread (ATS)

The THUNDER -2.5 (-110) will look to add to the woes of the Cavaliers +2.5 (-110). Cleveland is on an amazing 0-12 ATS slide, last covering Jan. 27 in a 122-107 home win against the Detroit Pistons.

OKC enters on an 0-3 SU/ATS slide themselves, but they should be able to push past a Cleveland side which is in complete disarray.

Over/Under (O/U)

The UNDER 219.5 (-110) is the play here. Cleveland has scored just 103.9 PPG, ranking 29th out of 30 teams. After playing some good D early in the season, the Cavs are allowing 113.2 PPG to rank 22nd in the league.

OKC has trouble putting the ball in the hoop, too, scoring just 106.9 PPG. The Thunder have hit the Under in four of the past five games, while the Cavs have hit the Under in the past two after a four-game Over run.
