18:00 - Blackburn v Swansea
On Tuesday evening, Blackburn Rovers and Swansea City go head-to-head at Ewood Park in EFL Championship action. Rovers finally picked up three points last weekend to end a poor run of form, beating Millwall at The Den. As for the Swans, they have scored last-gasp goals in back-to-back wins over Stoke City and Middlesbrough and are knocking on the door of the automatic promotion places. It could be a tough one to call, but who will come out on top in Lancashire this Tuesday?
Before last weekend’s win at The Den, Tony Mowbray’s Blackburn had been in horrendous form, losing six and drawing one of seven league games. Andre Ayew has been Swansea’s hero over the past week, scoring injury-time penalties in the 2-1 wins over Stoke and Boro. The Welsh side are flying high on 65 points, just one shy of second-placed Watford and with two games in hand. We fancy Steve Cooper’s men to keep up the pressure on the sides above them by sealing another narrow away victory in midweek. The 2-1 Swansea win is available at decent odds of 10/1.
19:00 - QPR v Wycombe
Mark Warburton’s Queens Park Rangers welcome Gareth Ainsworth’s Wycombe Wanderers to the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium in the EFL Championship this Tuesday night. Rangers have been in good form of late, winning seven of their last 11 league games. Since a 1-0 win over promotion hopefuls Reading last month, bottom side Wanderers have lost three on the spin and are destined for relegation… unless they pull off a miraculous turnaround.
QPR got back to winning ways last weekend after a draw and two defeats from their previous three games. Warburton’s boys put on a solid display at Ashton Gate, with Ilias Chair and Rob Dickie getting the goals in a 2-0 success. Wycombe are almost certainly on their way back down to EFL League One having picked up just five wins from 34 Championship games. Back the R’s to win to nil for a seventh time this season on Tuesday at odds of 7/4.
20:00 - Borussia Dortmund v Sevilla
Borussia Dortmund and Sevilla square off in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie on Tuesday evening. The pair played out a five-goal thriller at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan last month, with the German side edging the game. Can the Black and Yellows see the job through at the Westfalenstadion on Tuesday night or will Sevilla strike back?
As is so often the case these days, Erling Haaland was Borussia Dortmund’s hero in the first leg, bagging a brace in Spain to help the Bundesliga outfit to a priceless away victory. Sevilla scored the first and last goals, but Dortmund left Seville with a superb 3-2 win. We could be treated to another thrilling encounter between the two sides on Tuesday. Check out the top odds of 13/5 for Borussia to win and both teams to score in what should be an interesting game for the neutrals.
20:00 - Juventus v Porto
Andre Pirlo’s Juventus have plenty of work to do in their Round of 16 UEFA Champions League tie against Sergio Conceicao’s Porto. This Tuesday night, the Old Lady welcome the Portuguese side to the Juventus Stadium in Turin for the second leg. Even though Juve are behind in the tie, the Italian giants are the odds-on favourites to make it through to the last eight. But is the bookies’ confidence misplaced?
Porto were excellent at the Estadio do Dragao in the first leg, with goals from Mehdi Taremi and Moussa Marega giving them a deserved 2-0 lead. However, how important will Federico Chiesa’s goal be? His 82nd-minute strike could end up making all the difference in this tie. We fancy Juve to reach the quarter-finals by securing a comfortable win on home turf this Tuesday. We are backing Pirlo’s boys to be winning at half time and full time, which you can get at the solid odds of 6/5.
Tomorrow - Wednesday 10th March 2021
18:00 - Manchester City v Southampton
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City welcome Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Southampton to the Etihad Stadium for a Premier League fixture this Wednesday evening. City’s stunning 21-game winning streak was ended by rivals Manchester United last weekend, so Pep’s boys will be out for blood in this one. It could be a long evening for the struggling Saints, who are still trying to amass enough points to be certain of playing in the Premier League next term.

Despite Sunday’s derby defeat, City are still 11 points clear at the top of the table and well on their way to claiming another Premier League title. The 2-0 loss was their first reverse in any competition since a 2-0 league defeat at Tottenham Hotspur way back in November. Southampton picked up a rare win last time out, winning 2-0 at bottom side Sheffield United, but we fancy Man City to seal a sizable home victory on Wednesday. Back the home team to win with a -2 goal handicap in this one at odds of 7/5.
19:00 - Barnsley v Derby
In-form Barnsley entertain Derby County in EFL Championship action at Oakwell on Wednesday night. Valerien Ismael’s Tykes are the form team in the Championship at present, winning each of their last seven games. The excellent run has given Barnsley confidence they could make the play-offs. Derby, meanwhile, have improved under the stewardship of former England captain Wayne Rooney, but the Rams head to South Yorkshire having lost three of their last five games.
Barnsley have fired themselves into the top six after a run of two draws and seven wins from their last nine games. They have been superb at home in recent weeks, securing back-to-back victories over Blackburn Rovers, Stoke City, Millwall and Birmingham City. Derby have lost three in a row away from Pride Park, shipping seven goals in the process. As such, we fancy Barnsley to make it eight straight wins on Wednesday. Check out the solid odds of 15/4 for the Tykes victory and both teams to score at Oakwell.
20:00 - Liverpool v RB Leipzig
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are looking to book their spot in the last eight of the UEFA Champions League in midweek. On Wednesday, the Reds take on German outfit RB Leipzig at the Puskas Arena in Budapest for the second leg of their Round of 16 tie. Liverpool have a handy lead after a 2-0 win in Hungary three weeks ago and they will relish the opportunity to put their appalling domestic campaign (by their standards) to one side and put on a decent show in Europe.
It was a pretty even contest in the first leg but quick-fire goals in the second period from Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane earned Liverpool a precious 2-0 win. Ordinarily that would give Liverpool fans lots of confidence that their side would progress without any problems. But Klopp’s boys are in dreadful form in the Premier League and it won’t be a comfortable night if the Germans get an early goal. Having said that, the English champions have looked solid enough in Europe up until now and we fancy the Reds to secure a narrow win over Leipzig on Wednesday. As such, we’re will to take a punt on Liverpool to win by a one goal margin at odds of 3/1.
20:00 - PSG v Barcelona
Mauricio Pochettino’s Paris Saint-Germain have one foot in the last eight of the UEFA Champions League after a stunning win at the Camp Nou last month. PSG will be looking to get the job done in style when they entertain Ronald Koeman’s Barcelona at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday night. Paris are fancied to win on the night but Barcelona will want to make up for their heavy defeat and salvage some pride in Paris.
PSG stunned Barca in Catalonia a few weeks back. A Lionel Messi penalty put the home team in front but it was all about Pochettino’s Parisians after that. The excellent Kylian Mbappe netted a hat-trick to help the French giants to a memorable 4-1 win in Spain. The second leg is likely to be much closer as the home side won’t need to push for victory, but we are backing PSG to get the better of Blaugrana once again. We’ll be putting some money on the home win at a fair price of 5/4.

17:55 - Manchester United v AC Milan
Manchester United and AC Milan square off in arguably the standout Round of 16 tie in the UEFA Europa League. The Red Devils, who are riding high in the Premier League, are the bookies’ favourites to win the competition but Zlatan’s Rossonerri are also towards the top of the market and their odds will plummet if they get past United. Can Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men pick up a good result against the Italian giants at Old Trafford?
Fresh from their derby day win over rivals Manchester City, United head into this Europa League Round of 16 tie in high spirits. The Red Devils made light work of Real Sociedad in the previous round, and Ole’s boys will fancy their chances against Milan over two legs. It could be close, but we are backing Man United to get the win at Old Trafford on Thursday. Back the hosts to win by exactly one at 13/5.
17:55 - Olympiacos v Arsenal
Arsenal are back at the Karaiskakis Stadium this Thursday night, as Mikel Arteta’s men take on Pedro Martins’ Olympiacos in the 1st leg of their UEFA Europa League Round of 16 tie. The Greek outfit knocked the Gunners out of this competition last season. Will Arsenal get revenge, or can Olympiacos edge past the Premier League side once again?

Arsenal have certainly had their problems domestically this season, but Arteta’s boys have been exceptional in Europe up until now. The Londoners have won seven and drawn one of eight Europa League games, seeing off Benfica in the Round of 32. With the 2nd leg to come at the Emirates Stadium next week, a draw would not be a bad result for Arsenal. The 1-1 stalemate at the decent odds of 6/1 has caught the eye in what should be a relatively close encounter.
20:00 - Tottenham v Dinamo Zagreb
Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur are back on track after four league and cup wins on the trot. The Portuguese boss has been under some serious pressure but now he has a fit Harry Kane and a seemingly back to his best Gareth Bale, Mourinho will believe his men can achieve their goals this term. The London outfit will be hoping to make it five victories on the spin when they welcome Zoran Mamic’s Dinamo Zagreb to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in UEFA Europa League action on Thursday night. Spurs are the big favourites in this Round of 16, 1st leg tie, and we fully expect them to get the job done.
Tottenham have won five of their last six in all competitions, beating Wolfsberger 8-1 on aggregate in the last 32 of the Europa League in the process. Croatian champions Dinamo could be tricky opponents over the two legs, but the Lilywhites will be looking for a good win to take into the second leg in Zagreb. Spurs have kept clean sheets in three of their last four wins so back Tottenham to win to nil on Thursday at the very solid price of 7/5.
About The Tips
The predictions found above are a collaborative effort from a variety of different tipsters. Matches will usually be covered a couple of days before kick off and focus on a combination of value and likely outcomes. We cover a variety of different bets but they usually center around:
- Match Odds – Including variations such as half time / full time, handicap and asian handicap and win to nil.
- Both Teams to Score – A very popular bet for accumulators which we often combine with the match winner.
- Over / Under – Also increasingly popular for accas and again something we regularly combine with the match winner for increased odds.
Also included with the predictions are the trends and stats to back up the argument which may lead you to draw your own conclusions.
Are You Always Right?
It is important to note that not all predictions will come true. This is an important fact to consider and something that many tips sites try to lead you to believe otherwise. In fact, if anyone tries to tell you they always win then they are almost certainly lying.
Success in betting comes from winning more than you lose, not winning every bet. To do this we need to find bets that have a good chance of winning but also where the odds are attractive enough to make the risk worthwhile.
How Does Value Betting Work?
There are many articles on the web that explain value in betting but it can be quickly illustrated through a coin toss which should have a 50-50 chance of being either heads or tails. For the purposes of this example, let’s assume that we toss the coin ten times and achieve and equal number of heads and tails (so five of each).
Scenario 1: True Odds
We bet £10 per toss on heads at the true odds of evens:
- Heads: 5 x £10 = +£50
- Tails: 5 x -£10 = -£50
- Net Result: £0
At the end of our ten tosses we’re at zero.
Scenario 2: Poor Value
For our second example let’s incorporate the bookmakers margin, meaning that we only receive odds of 4/5 on our winning bets.
- Heads: 5 x £8 = +£40
- Tails: 5 x -£10 = -£50
- Net Result: -£10
Because of the reduced odds on our winning bets we now lose £10 overall.
Scenario 3: Good Value
In our final example let’s assume that the person you’re betting against has miscalculated the chances and pay out at 6/5 for heads:
Footballbettingtips.org Similar
- Heads: 5 x £12 = +£60
- Tails: 5 x -£10 = -£50
- Net Result: +£10
Here we’ve made a profit of £10, purely because of the difference in the odds and these are the bets you want to try and find.
